Obituary of John Richard Limb
John Richard Limb was born on August 11, 1926 in Pasadena, California to John and Merle Limb. He had a younger brother named Frank Limb. John received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of the Pacific and a Master’s Degree from the University of Nevada-Reno. He served during WWII in the U.S. Navy. After the Navy, he returned to civilian life and became a high school teacher in the San Jose Unified School District where he worked for over 25 years. After he retired from teaching, he worked for San Jose National Bank as a courier.
John’s hobbies included a membership in a wine club and snow skiing; he liked to frequent a cabin that he owned in the Sierra’s and also co-wrote a book on English grammar. He loved to travel and visited numerous foreign countries.
John is survived by his 2 sons: David Limb (Betty) and Troy Limb (Hillary); 3 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; as well as ex-wife Jane Chadsey.
He was predeceased by his daughter Laura Limb; 2nd wife Mary Ruth Limb; and brother Frank Limb.
John was a good father as well as a very kind and caring person. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 28th at 12:00 noon at Los Gatos Memorial Park, 2255 Los Gatos Almaden Road, San Jose, CA 95124
