A life well lived. I will always remember Tony’s influence in my wonderful Mexican immersion into the Spanish language, studying in Zachatechas and living with a family there for a short time. Tony was a good and generous man. I will miss him.

I am so so saddened by Mr. Ruiz's passing. He was my inspiration to further my education as a young latina. He was so passionate in emphasizing that education is important and being politically involved in a necessary. I truly am so sad Mr. Ruiz was a gem and I am so honored that I was able to have known such a pillar in our community. Please know that my prayers are with your family in this time. My heart aches for your family.

What a great loss to the community. Tony was such an inspiration to so many people. I had the privilege of being on the Democratic Central Committee with him years ago and learned a great deal from him. He will be greatly missed. Rest In Peace, Tony.

Many, many fun times at our group dinner gatherings at restaurants, but more enjoyable when we met at your home. You and Kathy were the superb host and hostess. I enjoyed listening to all of you instructors talking about the good old times at Gavilan College, and, also learning more about politics at every level.
