Obituary of Daniel Jefferson Dooling

On Friday November 10, 2017, Daniel Jefferson Dooling, 74 of Hollister passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a 21 month courageous battle with cancer.

Dan was born and raised in Hollister. He attended local schools and graduated from Hollister High School. Dan was a dedicated hard worker and worked for Holex, now known as Pacific Scientific for 53 years. He enjoyed golfing with his "buddies", working in his yard, and spending time with his family.

He survived by his daughter Danielle Dooling; step-children Michael Ruiz and Ashly Ruiz. Grandchildren Steven Ruiz and Makayla Ruiz; brother Patrick Dooling and sister Cheryl Large and her husband John Large; as well as many nieces and nephews who loved him very much. He will also be missed by his 2 constant companions, his dogs, Mia and Honey.

He is predeceased by his father Daniel Jefferson Dooling II, mother Anna Marie Dooling, and sister Crystal Ann Dooling.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 17th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Church, 1200 Fairview Road in Hollister.
