What a sad loss for all of us. Joe was my roommate for a few years in the mid-2000's and turned out to be a wonderful friend. We had many great conversations and wonderful meals together that I will always cherish. We offered our advice to each other when faced with challenges and Joe's directness was a quality I always loved. I also loved to hear him laugh. His beautiful smile and sweet nature were gifts to behold to whomever he shared them with. Joe always loved his family and friends and anyone who was part of his life is better off for it. I miss you so much, dear friend.

Joe & I worked together at Hillcrest Hospital in the emergency room. We were friends and took our "smoke breaks" together and laughed & laughed. We had so much comic relief poking fun at situations that really were not funny. Gallow humor. We talked about life. Joe struggle with who he was at that time. But we still laughed a lot. I was so happy when he moved and stayed in California and he found love and peace. I pray for peace for his loved ones he's left behind.

Dear Michelle and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, while reading about Joe I discovered you also lost your Mom. I realize it's probably been 30 years or more since our last contact. But I did want to express my sincere sorrow for your loss. I always remember Joe as being funny! He loved to bother u and drive u crazy when we were kids. Lol. As brothers always seem to do to their sisters. I will keep you all in my prayers. God Bless. Kathy Borelli

Joe and I worked together for many years sharing our morning coffee along with our hopes and dreams for our future retirement. We laughed, cried, got angry and politically incorrect together always with a smile and a wink. I miss all that. Each day when I drink my coffee, look out my window I will think of Joe, say a prayer of peace and tranquility being a better person for knowing him. Condolences to all that knew and loved him.

Joe will be missed, forever. His grace, his wit, his ability to explain something to a newcomer, his passion for helping others, his knowledge and his kindness will never be forgotten. If there was a trick to learn something easier, Joe had it and shared it. Joe could have a thousand things going on and never let you feel you intruded if there was a question. Those East Coast Navy people surely are the best.

Joe was truly a great person and took pride in everything he did. I worked with him for several years and he never hesitated to tell me how things should go and I appreciated and respected him for that. He will definitely be missed and there is no one that could ever replace what he brought to the lives of those who knew him. Rest in peace Joe.
