Obituary of Rosalie V. Hutchinson

Rosalie Hutchinson passed away peacefully in her Hollister residence with friends by her side on September 25th, 2017. Rosalie was the daughter of Flavio and Margaret Viscarra born on July 6th, 1923, in Santa Barbara, California. She met her husband Bill in Santa Barbara and they moved to Los Altos, California and eventually to Hollister.

When she lived in Los Altos, Rosalie enjoyed working with handicapped children and was also a “Friendly Visitor”, an organization that matches visitors with seniors. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish as well as The Red Hatters. She loved to cook and entertain for friends at her home. She won several awards at the San Benito County Fair for her cooking and sewing skills. She also enjoyed gardening, pressing flowers, playing dominos and card games. She was very competitive.

Rosalie will be remembered for her positive outlook on life, beauty, fashion, charm, humor and strong independence.  Everyone she came in contact with, fell in love with her. She had a warm beautiful soul. She also loved her dog “Millie”.
