Obituary of Robert Patrick Bowman

Robert P. Bowman was born in Newton, Iowa to Robert and Laverne Bowman, both deceased. He attended St. Paul Parochial School and St. Ambrose Academy in Davenport, Iowa. He enlisted in the Army in 1957 and was stationed at Fort Ord, California and Nancy, France. After his discharge from the Army, Robert lived in Davenport before relocating to California in 1963. He later married Rebecca Mendoza Boatilucci (deceased). In 2012, they moved to Hollister where Robert was able to indulge in his favorite past time – golf.

Robert is survived by his children: Roberta (Lyle) Freidt and Robert (Nikki) Bowman Jr; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; sister Diane (Rudy) Marschke, Linda Scholtz; brother Jay (Barb) Bowman and Mike (Jessie) Bowman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 19th at 1:00 p.m. at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home. Full military honors will be provided by Local VFW Post 9242 and the California Army Honor Guard.

Inurnment will be private.
