Obituary of Gerald A. Rocha

Gerald Allen “Jerry” Rocha of Hollister, CA passed away peacefully on July 11, 2017 at the age of 71 after a brave battle with cancer.

Jerry was born in Watsonville, CA on October 10, 1945. He worked on a dairy farm and cattle ranch until he retired to Hollister in 2005.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping in his motorhome, and watching old western movies and auto racing. Jerry was handy and could build or fix anything. He was a gentle soul who always found time to help a friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife Mary of 45 years; his children Jerry (Melissa) Rocha of Hollister; Rose (Geoff) Karty of Liberty, MO; granddaughters Violet, Sydney, Savannah, Scarlett, and Lillian; father John Rocha Jr.; brothers John E., Daniel, and Gary Rocha; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. Jerry is preceded in death by his mother, Violet Rocha.

Services will be held on Tuesday, July 18th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
