Obituary of William Everett Spencer

William Everett "Bill" Spencer, 74, of Hollister, Cal. Passed away on May 2, 2017, at home.

Funeral Services will be held at Grunnagel-Ament- Nelson Mortuary on May 8, 2017 at 3pm with Fr.  Dennis Peterson of Sacred Heart Church officiating. A celebration of life will follow at Robin Spencer Henkes home, at 1710 Valley View Road, Hollister.

Bill was born in San Jose, California, to Everett and Rose Spencer on January 19, 1943. Bill attended Sacred Heart School and then onto San Benito High School where he graduated in 1960. Bill joined the Navy after graduation and served his Country for 4 years. Bill worked at many different jobs but seemed to always return to his passion, Truck Driving. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and barbecuing with his family and friends.

Bill is survived by his wife Honor Spencer of Hollister, his sister and brother-in-law Bob and Shirley Stone of Hollister, his daughter and son-in-law Robin and Mike Henke, Lorie Daniel of Frenchtown, Montana, Jamie Spencer of Hollister, Anna and Jimmy Pelaiz of Hollister, Todd Lopes of Redding and his sister- in-law and brother-in-law Kiely and Mike Sheppard of Gilroy. Bill had 11 grandchildren and enjoyed having them near him, Jason Henke, Janesse Henke, Samantha and her husband Brandon Rausch, Nicole Lopes, Clayton Craig, Vincent Lopes, Jimmy Pelaiz, Rashelle Craig, Jasmine Pelaiz, Jayda Pelaiz and Jayce Pelaiz. Bill also had 5 great granddaughters, Ava Henke, Hadyn Lynch, Dalani Henke, Mashelle Rausch and Amara Rausch. Bill is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Everett and Rose Spencer, his grandson Russ Tirey and his nephew Rod Stone.

Memorial Donations may be made to Heartland Hospice, 2511 Garden Road, Suite A-250, Monterey, California, 93940. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Heartland for their compassion and loving help with Bill and the family. Thank you Judy, Katie and Laura you were our angels.
