Marcelina "Chela" Galindo Obituary
Marcelina "Chela" Galindo, age 74, passed away surrounded by her family on April 18, 2017.
She was born on April 9, 1943 in Cualcoman, Michoacán, Mexico. She came to the U.S in 1961 and on April 10, 1965 she married Enrique Galindo and together they had 4 children.
She worked as one of the first ever female machinist at San Benito Foods and at Hazel Hawkins Hospital, all the while working as a seamstress and raising her children.
Her passions were spreading the word of the LORD, designing and sewing, gardening,cooking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was an extremely compassionate woman, putting those in need before herself. Everyone she made contact with were left with a sense of peace, love and the knowledge that they had a true friend in her, for life.
She was survived by her husband of 52 years, Enrique. Her children: Henry, Joel, Erica, Abel(Marvella). And, her grandchildren: Lian, Elec, Noah, Abel & Sophia.
She will truly be missed here on earth as she looks down on us from heaven.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 28th, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
