Obituary of Wanda Nadine Ranney

Wanda Nadine Ranney (Mom), 82 of Hollister, Ca. passed away on March 26, 2017 at Kindred Nursing and Transitional Care home. Mom has left behind three sons (Michael, Gary and Bobby) and one daughter (Jill). Dad (Robert Ranney), passed several years ago. Mom was a woman of simplicity. Mom was not fancy, nor did she feel the need for any level of extravagance. Mom really enjoyed playing cards. Mom loved going for walks and expressed the appreciation for bright colors of flowers and cars, but mostly for trees. Mom always said: “I could never live in a place that did not have trees.” She also loved watching Jeopardy, reading the newspaper and books. She loved sunshine, yet not much appreciation for the winter days. Mom truly relished a good meal. Her favorite was apple pie and any kind of potato dish. Mom was a high-spirited woman who loved a good debate, especially on political subjects. If you knew mom, you knew you had to be ready to pick a side. Mom passed in peace and has transitioned to be with Dad now. She really missed him when he passed. She always said during our walks together: “Bob, I’m sure, was the best husband a woman could ever have and I sure do miss him.” God bless you mom, you are now home in heaven with Dad.
