I so hope you don't mind me posting here...I was looking for a different Geraldine O'Niell...but when I saw the wonderful comments about her, I had to watch her Memorial Video. Her spirit reminded me of my Mom, who I miss DEARLY. It seems your Mom and mine would have made fast friends of each other. We have necklaces made for my Mom that says she was "Our Joy", and we describe her passing as, "She finally became the Angel we all knew her to be."...and your sweet Mother seemed to be just as deeply beautiful. It was so heart-warming to see so much love around your Mom...a life well-lived and full of love is never wasted. I cried through the whole thing, <3 , because your love for her is so obvious by it. I wish many blessings to you all, and to her incredible spirit.

Well, we know that as the book of Wisdom says, "the souls of the just are in the Hands of the Lord". We know where Gerry is and we all want to go to that same place. So many crowns she made for Our Lady on this earth only worked to weave her own crown which she now enjoys.Congrats Gerry!
May Our Lord console your hearts and heal your sorrow. May Our Lady let you know that her faithful daughter is all right and safely working for your sanctification.
Gerry was a gift given to this world and any of us that got to know her to any degree are all the better for it.
Rest in Peace Sister Gerry, but not too much, we have need of your prayers now that you work for St. Anthony.

Dear O'Neill sisters...
Sorry to read that your mom has passed, but what a long and rich life she led. The first part of your video tribute to her brought back memories of growing up in the West Street neighborhood.
There was a curiosity about animal life in your house. I remember the tortoise, and the cat and kittens and going in and out the back door of a home that was open, warm and welcoming. So many kids then and being sent outside to play was the norm, a kind of freedom not many enjoy today, I think. Death trap clamp-on roller skates, bikes and summers of endless skinned knees.
Our dads were friends. I have and still use the recipe for Bonasita bus stop Chile Verde he wrote about in the Freelance (photocopy of the article, the original crumbled) a narrative as much as it was a recipe.
My thoughts are with you as you celebrate your mom's life.
