Obituary of Mary L. Montoya Armendariz
Mary L Montoya Armendariz entered fully into the presence of our Lord and Savior January 26, 2017. After her valiant fight with pancreatic cancer and unwavering faith in God.
Mary was born on January 28, 1934 in Safford Arizona, where she relocated to Santa Clara County and became a long time resident.
Mary is survived by three daughters, one son, 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A woman of faith and the heart of her family, Mary shaped their spirituality by her strength and devotion to God.
With Mary’s zest for life, Mary loved to read biographies, embroidered beautiful designs; walks on the beach searching for sea glass and enjoying the fresh air, she was ready for adventure even camping. She loved themed parties, going to tea and thrift store shopping. She loved searching for treasures. Mary loved creating beautiful and elegant table settings for her family and had the gift to make everyone feel special.
Mary was always dressed elegantly for every occasion. The definition of stylish can describe elegant and elegant manners, or it can describe dressing and having elegance or taste or refinement in manner or dress. This describes Mary.
Here is one of Mary’s most famous quotes; “when trauma occurred Mary would advise her family “What are you going to do to change this” “What is the next step”
Mary was a single parent and she knew she had to keep the family going forward.
Her favorite scripture Phil 4:6 “Finally, brethren whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are a good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, thinks on these things.
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support including Seasons hospice. A special thank you to Maria Mendoza who daily cared for Mary and Anita Ureste who joined the care team and slept close by Mary to relieve her daughters.
This obituary is written by yours truly Sandra Kalaveras and Christine Jimenez in honor of our dearest Mother it is our tribute to her memory, which will be carried on in the legacy of love which is now in each of us - the lives she formed and touched by her love.
