God Bless the Sanchez Family, Always keep Felipe in your heart.......
If a man can bridge the gap between life and death, if he can live on after he's dead, then maybe he was a great man...... James Dean
If a man lives in the hearts and minds of others he continues to live and will live for ever and will aways be remembered as a great man

Comadre Cecelia and the kids. I am very sorry for the loss of my Compadre Filipe. We chose him to baptize our daughter Celeste because of the outward love he showed toward his family and I honestly enjoyed talking to him and being around him. I remember he liked talking about his garden, trees, and the fruit they would produce. He was very proud of his home and kept the yard well manicured and maintained, More important than his garden were his children Hector, Felipe Jr.,Albert, Marian and Cecilia. and of course their spouses and grandchildren. Last time I visited him was when my daughter was in the Hospital and I stopped by his house. It was many years since I had seen them him but to Filipe it was just like yesterday, they were so welcoming. I still felt the love that they know how to give. They were both such wonderful people and God blessed us by placing Felipe in our path. I will always remember when he baptized my baby. He spoke to me in spanish in a very serious manner,,,He told us nothing more than if we ever needed anything for her or if something happened to me since I was a soldier he would take care of Celeste.I was comforted and I still am. Compa, enjoy the visits with the family in heaven and tell my wife Sandra that i think of her often and will see her again. God Bless you Compa and may your journey be a pleasent one. We Love you ....

I read of a man who stood to speak
At a funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on his memory card
From beginning ......to the end.
He noted that first came the date of his birth
and spoke of the following date with tears,
but he said what mattered most of all
was the dash between the years.
For that dash represents all the time
That he spent alive on eatth,
and now only those who loved him
know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not how much we own,
the cars ......the house.......the.......cash.
What matters most is how we live and love,
and how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard;
are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
that can still be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough
To consider what's true and real,
and always try to understand
the way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger
and show appreciation more
and love the people in our lives.....
like we've never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect
and more often wear a smile.....
remembering that this special dash
might only last a little while.
So when your eulogy is being read,
with your life's actions to rehash,
would you be proud of the things they say
about how you spent your dash?
This poem is from a book called The Dash that helped me thru losing my mom.
If any man ever lived a great -----------Dash with no regrets, it would be Felipe.
His taught his family honor, respect, compassion, and kindness to everyone they met. My prayers are with you.

Papa Felipe was always so generous and kind to me & my family when we saw him at family parties. His love for his family was easy to see. Being related to Hector for so long it was obvious what a great father he had by what kind of man, father, friend, brother in law, God father, he raised Hector to be. I know how much he will be missed by his family because he was a great man to everyone and truly loved.

Rest in peace to our dear brother-in-law. You were truly an inspiration to all the family as a dedicated husband and father. You were not only proud of your children and grandchildren, but also took such pride in maintaining a beautiful garden with your many fruit trees and vegetables that you liked to share with friends and neighbors. We are sure that God will be very happy to have you tend his heavenly garden. Say hello to mom, dad, Sandy, Christina and the rest of the relatives. Our prayers and thoughts are with you always.
With much love,
Bob & Alice
