Condolences to all of the Schipper family. I am very saddened. I had to smile as I recalled the 5 years (1960-1965) I was so fortunate to spend working for Howard and Lester in the Clothing Store. They taught me a lot about business and how to ensure each customer was helped in a positive and friendly way. Lessons in life I will never forget. We a had a short visit a couple of years ago and reminisced about the good old days at the store.

Howard was a good man and served the community honestly and always friendly. My late husband, Tom Manus said no one had the fine quality of men's clothing like Schipper's. And their customer service was always great.
My prayers and good thoughts are with Schipper family at this sad loss.

My condolences to the family and friends of Howard. I remember him from the days when my father, Earl Hatton, worked for a competitor (The Wardrobe) down the street from Schipper's. My Dad had the greatest respect for Mr Schipper, and when it was time for my first store-bought suit, Dad sent me to Howard's store.
Hollister will miss him, I'm sure.
