Obituary of Patricia Vieira “Trish” Maderis

Patricia Vieira “Trish” Maderis, 71, of Hollister, California, died on January 9, 2025, at her home. Trish was born at Hazel Hawkins Hospital to Dick and Carmen Vieira on September 2, 1953. She graduated from San Benito High School in 1971, attended the Police Academy, and served as a Deputy Sheriff in Carson City, Nevada. She later worked for the District Attorney’s Office and as a county employee in the Building and Planning Department. Trish was involved in numerous organizations and loved traveling with her husband and friends. She is survived by her husband, John; her sister, Merri; her son, Rick; her stepchildren, Deena and Todd; her grandchildren, Carmen (daughter of Rick), Jake, Max, Carmen (daughter of Todd), and Rhett; her nieces, Julie and Dawn; her great-nephew, John (son of Julie); as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends. Trish was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Carmen Vieira. A funeral service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery on Thursday, January 16th, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the San Benito Saddle Horse Association and Veterans of Foreign Affairs. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to everyone she knew, whose kindness and presence made a positive impact on their lives.
