Obituary of Ryan Severin Burnett
Ryan Severin Burnett passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, after a long illness. He is the son of Stoney Richard (deceased) and Rebecca Burnett, big brother to Kyle Burnett, brother-in- law to Nancy Burnett, and the first grandson to Virgilio and Emma Mortela.
Born in San Jose, California on June 9, 1986, Ryan was a curious child who loved animals and dinosaurs. He was an affable kid but was shy and private by nature. As a responsible and protective boy and one of the older grandkids, growing up, he played the role of ‘big brother’ to his younger cousins. Ryan’s nature didn’t change as he got older. He stayed true to who he was – good natured, giving, dependable, helpful. He was always very kind towards everyone and everything, a wonderful human being. Ryan gained a passion for fitness and a healthy lifestyle, mixed martial arts, and skateboarding. He also enjoyed camping, playing video games, watching movies, and anime.
Though we mourn Ryan’s loss, we are thankful to have been blessed by him and for having him in our lives. He will be forever missed.
Ryan leaves behind numerous family members including his mom, brother, sister-in-law, grandmother, aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends. Per his wishes, there will be a blessing and burial service at Calvary-Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hollister, California on January 24, 2025 @ 12PM.
