Marlene Avis Abbott passed away on January 5th , 2025, in Hollister California.


Marlene was born in Bakersfield CA, Kern County to John M Kabrich and Avis H Kabrich on June 20th, 1931. She

graduated from Taft High School in Taft, Ca. Marlene loved animals and while growing up cherished riding her horse, Mayda. She excelled playing tennis and bowling. While living in Gold Beach Oregon on the Rouge River with her husband Jack she enjoyed going to church, volunteering at the hospital and playing golf with her friends. She was loved immensely by her family and all who met her, Marlene, will be dearly missed.


Marlene is survived by her three children Larry Abbott, Daryl Abbott and Dennis Abbott (Deena). Grandchildren Nicole Fonseca, Stephanie Foster, Jack Abbott, Eric Abbott, Tim Abbott, Kevin Abbott, Cousin Judy Whiteman and Nieces Lori Kabrich Mead and Carol Kabrich Lousche. Marlene is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.


Marlene was preceded in death by her husband Jack Nichols Abbott, Brother Richard Kabrich, sister Ruth Gula, nephew Wayne Kabrich and Daughter in law Linda Abbott.
