Robert Padilla’s kind thoughts: Growing up without a father I consider SHELLY my older brother who taught me all the good things about being a man and a dedicated father. I worked with SHELLY as a ranchhand on the Mission Vineyards ranch from the age of 12 to 18 years old. I view SHELLY as a hard-working man who cared deeply about his family, close friends and doing a good job at whatever job he had. He loves to laugh, have a beer or beers and listen to others share their stories and funny experiences. I hold dearly the values and principles he taught me growing up. My own life has been more fulfilling because of the lessons he demonstrated to me. We remained very close to this day. I will miss him dearly and always referred to him as my older brother SHELLY. The family would like to say a special thank you to Reyna Martinez the caregiver that helped SHELLY in his last days. Per Shelly’s wishes he’s being cremated and the celebration of life will be on November 10 from 12pm - 3pm at the mission farm RV park at 400 San Juan Hollister rd., San Juan Bautista, CA 95045.
