Mid 1960’s she took time off to raise her three daughters. Later she returned to work at Hazel Hawkins Hospital, followed by Wheeler Hospital, and where she retired at South Valley Hospital. Dorothy always enjoyed working with the public and helping others. She never met a stranger! Dorothy was very active in the PTA at Sacred Heart Parrish School while her daughters attended. She was also a member of the Spanish Lodge. Her favorite pastimes included bowling weekly at Hollister Lanes and gardening in her yard. Her most favorite of all was attending all of the sports events for her grandchildren. Everyone in the grandstands knew her as “Grandma Dot”. Dorothy was the most dedicated and devoted mother and grandmother. She always put her family first. She will be dearly missed.
