Obituary of Ruben Rodriguez Assa

Ruben Rodriguez Asa, 54, of Hollister, CA peacefully passed away surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren, sister, and daughter-in-law on April 17th, 2024, after a three-year battle with cancer. Ruben was born on May 31st, 1969 to Heriberto Rodriguez and Maria Jesus Asa in Guanajuato, Mexico. He had a total of 11 siblings, 7 brothers and 4 sisters. In 1987 Ruben met Maria in Hollister. They went on to have four children Adrian, Matthew, Bryan, and Jessica. Ruben worked for J.A.R. Underground Electric Inc. as an Underground Electricionist and Operator for over 20 years. Outside of work, Ruben enjoyed spending time with his family, playing and laughing with his grandchildren, dancing to banda, and all things soccer. Ruben played for many outdoor and indoor soccer teams alongside his children and friends whom he considered family. Ruben is predeceased by his youngest child and only daughter, Jessica, his parents, Heriberto and Maria Jesus, and two sisters, Amalia and Elena. He is survived by his wife, Maria Rodriguez, his three sons, Adrian, Matthew, and Bryan, and his two grandchildren, Camila and Santi. To know Ruben was to know true passion and dedication. Through the good and the bad, he always persisted. He was a giver without expecting anything in return. His family was his pride and strength. He fought to his last breath. He is now at peace, reunited with his princess, Jessica, and his loved ones who left too soon. We miss and love you so much. May you rest in eternal peace Ruben and please watch over us.
