Charles Fike Jr.

Obituary of Charles Lester Fike Jr.

Charles (Chuck) Fike passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on April 16, 2024. He was born on December 18, 1942, in Whittier California. He and his family moved to Hollister when he was 17 and he lived in San Benito County ever since. Chuck went to San Benito Joint Union High School where he met the love of his life Antoinette (Castro) Fike. They were married at age 21 and were a happy loving couple until his death. Chuck worked for the Hollister Post Office for 35 years before he retired. He lived for his wife and two children, they were his highest priority. Second only to his family, Chuck loved playing music. He played bass guitar from his teens up to his seventies. He was in several bands all across the Bay Area and was well-known among many musicians in Northern California. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Antoinette Fike, his son Jamie Fike, his daughter Lori Corbari, his grandson Stefano Corbari, his brother Richard Fike and several nieces and nephews. The world is a little bit dimmer from losing the light of this beautiful kind soul. There will be a memorial gathering for friends and family at his residence on Saturday, April 20th at 1pm.
