Obituary of Paul Jimenez Jr.
In Loving Memory of Paul Jimenez Jr.
Paul Jimenez Jr., born on August 13, 1949, in Los Angeles, California, bid farewell to this world on December 31, 2023. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, dedication, and love that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Paul leaves behind a profound and enduring love story with his soulmate, Nasa Jimenez. Their bond, built on 55 years of shared joys and trials, served as a beacon of love and support that enriched both their lives. Nasa was not only the love of Paul's life but also his confidante and partner in every aspect of their journey together. Through the highs and lows, Nasa stood by Paul's side, offering unwavering support and companionship. Their love story was a testament to the enduring strength that comes from a deep, genuine connection.
Paul found joy in his role as a father. He leaves behind his cherished sons, Paul Jimenez III, and Robert Jimenez who carry forward his legacy of strength, resilience, and love. His presence as a grandfather brought happiness to Annish Jimenez, Nik Jimenez, Paul C. Jimenez, Priscilla Cardenas, Paul J. Jimenez, and great grandchildren Benny, James, Anya, and Nikolas who will forever be grateful for the love and wisdom he shared.
Paul is also survived by his siblings, Sylvia Trevino, Ana Lopez, and Gavino (Billie) Jimenez.
Paul served his country with honor, dedicating a significant chapter of his life to the United States Army. Stationed in Korea, he exemplified bravery and commitment to the principles he held dear.
For over two decades, Paul worked diligently in the field of body and fender, showcasing his craftsmanship. His hands shaped and mended, demonstrating his skill and passion for his work.
Whether it was the thrill of the catch or the peaceful solitude of the fishing experience, Paul's love for this pastime was evident to all who knew him. Many have fond memories of shared fishing trips, where laughter, camaraderie, and the excitement of the sport created lasting bonds.
Paul was a pillar in the local community as a wrestling coach for over two decades. Alongside his close friend, John Keiswetter, Paul shared his passion for the sport and left an indelible mark on the lives of countless young athletes. His coaching journey began in Gilroy at Gavilan College and transitioned to Hollister where he selflessly devoted his time and expertise to the Razorbacks and Hollister High School wrestling teams. He not only imparted the technical skills of the sport but also instilled values of resilience, sportsmanship, and teamwork in his athletes. The partnership between Paul and John exemplified the power of friendship and shared passions in creating a positive influence. Together, they created a legacy of sportsmanship and camaraderie that will endure in the hearts of those they coached and the community they served.
As we mourn the loss of a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, let us also celebrate the vibrant life that Paul Jimenez Jr. lived. May his memory inspire us to embrace life with the same determination, courage, and love that he so graciously bestowed upon those around him.
Rest in peace, dear Paul. Your spirit lives on in the hearts of those who love you.
