Jose R. A. Campos Obituary

On December 21,2023 the Lord called Jose Reynaldo (Rey) Campos 73, of Tres Pinos home. Rey was born in San Nicolas, Obispo on July 25,1950 to Ausencio and Rita Campos.

Rey attended public schools in Hollister and graduated from San Benito High. He continued his education and earned his AA degree from Gavilan college.

In 1972 Rey enlisted in the USAF, after basic training he returned home and married his sweetheart Patricia (Trish)Campos they were married for 51 years.

Life in the Air Force was an adventure for the family, taking them to many different countries including Japan and Turkey.Rey retired from the Air Force after 22 years , and moved the family back to Hollister where he worked for Port Supply.

Rey volunteered his time by helping out with Cub scouts, Safe Kids, and Kids at the Park.

Rey will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father,grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.



Rey is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Trish),daughter Angelica Campos, sons David Campos,Steven Campos, Grandchildren,and great grandchildren siblings Marina Campos (Gonzalo),Blanca Overpeck, Laura Orona, Bill Campos(Linda), Joe Campos, Andres Campos, Abelina Campos, Daniel Campos and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on January 4th at Grunnagle funeral home 870 San Benito Street , visitation 10:00am to 11:30am service 11:30 to 12:30 burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery 1100 Hillcrest Rd.


The family wishes to extend their gratitude to our church family, Calvary Baptist church, Soleil Hospice, Home Health, friends and family.
