YSABEL A. JAIME JULY 8, 1920 - DECEMBER 21, 2023 YSABEL PASSED AWAY FROM ADVANCED YEARS AT THE AGE OF 103 BEAUTIFUL YEARS, ON THURSDAY DECEMBER 21, 2023. OUR GRANDMA, OUR HERO! LIVED A VERY LONG FULFILLING LIFE, BORN IN COMPOSTELA, NAYARIT MEXICO. ARRIVED IN HOLLISTER IN 1958 WITH HER DAUGHTER EVA AND 2 GRANDDAUGHTERS. WITH GRANDMA’S DILIGENCE AND CONSISTENCY OF BEING A HARD WORKER HER STRENGTH, LOYALTY AND COMMITMENT WAS ADMIRED BY MANY MAKING HER A “HERO” EVERYONE LOOKED UP TO. GRANDMA WORKED AT THE LOCAL CANNERY TRI VALLEY FOR OVER 40 YEARS.OFF SEASON GRANDMA WAS A CAMPESINA WORKING THE STRAWBERRY AND TOMATO FIELDS. WITH HER PETITE AND AGILE FRAME SHE WAS ABLE TO PICK THE FASTEST OF ALL HER CREW MEMBERS EARNING HER THE NICKNAME “LA CAMPEON”. GRANDMA CAME FROM A GENERATION THAT HARD WORK AND A HONEST LIVING WAS RESPECTED AND HONORED. SHE INSTILLED IN US THAT YOU WORKED FOR YOUR NECESSITIES AND TO NEVER EXPECT ANYTHING FOR FREE. GRANDMA HAD MANY HOBBIES, WAS AN EXTREMELY TALENTED SEAMSTRESS, SHE WAS ABLE TO SEW ANYTHING WITH JUST A FEW MEASUREMENTS, KNITTING, WALKING THROUGHOUT THE TOWN SOCIALIZING, CASINOS, EATING AT THE BUFFET, WATCHING HER GREAT GRANDCHILDREN’S SPORTS. CHEERING FOR THEM AS SHE WAS THEIR #1 FAN. AT A VERY YOUNG AGE GRANDMA HELPED RAISE HER YOUNGER SIBLINGS AND LATER HELPED RAISE HER 5 GRANDCHILDREN. GRANDMA’S DOOR WAS ALWAYS OPEN AS WELL AS HER HEART TO HELP MANY FAMILY MEMBERS THAT NEEDED HER HELP OR A PLACE TO STAY. GRANDMA WAS KNOWN AROUND TOWN PER WORD OF MOUTH AS “LA SOBADORA”. PEOPLE OF ALL MAKES OF LIFE WOULD COME NEAR OR FAR TO HER HOME AND MANY TIMES WAIT AS A LINE WAS FORMED FOR HER TENDER HANDS AND KNOWLEDGE TO HEAL THEM. HELPING GRANDMA MAKE THE TRANSITION OF BEING INDEPENDENT TO THE MABIE SOUTHSIDE FACILITY WAS HER GRANDDAUGHTER ISABEL. ISABEL WOULD SPEND EVERYDAY HAVING LUNCH AND DINNER WITH HER AND TAKING HER FOR HER DAILY WALKS, THAT SHE ENJOYED IMMENSELY, ACCOMPANIED BY HER GREAT GRANDCHILDREN RACHEL, DANIELLE AND MICHAEL AND WHEN TIME PERMITTED HER GRANDSON JOSE GREAT GRANDSON DILLON AND THE FRENCHIE GANG. GRANDMA IS PREDECEASED BY HER HUSBAND JOSE JAIME, DAUGHTER EVA MIRAMONTES, GREAT GREAT GRANDSONS ZEO SALVADOR SOLIS ACOSTA AND ANTHONY FINK MADUENA. SURVIVED BY HER 5 GRANDCHILDREN NICOLASA SANCHES, MARINA McMAHON, ROSALINDA ARROYO, ISABEL ACOSTA AND JOSE “JOEY” PARRA HER BROTHER RAYMUNDO 14 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN 25 GREAT GREAT GRANDCHILDREN NUMEROUS NIECES AND NEPHEWS. FAMILY WOULD LIKE TO THANK MABIE SOUTHSIDE FOR WATCHING OVER OUR GRANDMA WITH PATIENCE AND KINDNESS, WHERE SHE WAS KNOWN AS CHAVILITA”. PRIVATE CREMATION AND AS HER WISHES NO SERVICES WILL BE PROVIDED.
