My grandson Wyatt took horseback rising lessons from Bob for three years. He loved Bob. Wyatt passed away from cancer in 2012. I have no doubt he was one of the first to greet Bob in heaven with open arms.
This photo was Wyatt and Bob outside of Independence, California when Wyatt visited him at the pack station.

My dad wore many hats, farrier ,blacksmith, artist, horse trainer, dog trainer just to name a few! He was tough, toughest man I have ever met and oh so stubborn! He loved teaching and sharing his knowledge with others, young or old. Far more knowledge that could be given in one lifetime. I miss him terribly but I know he’ll look over me. Love you so much dad.

When I was 5 years old I met Bob. He taught me to ride horses. He yelled at me for flapping my wings. He taught me the ways his daughter Tracy use to pull herself up in the saddle with the saddle ties. He would shoe our horses as long a my mom provided a case of beer. I remember his white and blue box truck. He had a thoroughbred stallion that he bred to my mare for free. The colt was crazy but these were great memories to have.

I remember always going horse back riding with my grandpa and always being so excited to ride the horses with him. One of my best memories was during a horse show with him and deciding to do it last minute and had the best time with him.
