January 7, 2024 Dearest Tia Alice, I’ve been recalling some of my best memories of us as kids running around your beautiful, huge 2-story home In Hollister. Those are some of the very best memories of my childhood. Thank you for always being so sweet and kind to us kids as we tore through your home running and hiding in the nooks and crannies of that huge house and its surrounding property. Gramma Cuca used to live right down the street which was so nice and convenient. I always enjoyed visiting her and watching her busy cooking in the kitchen. Her nickname for me was “Christina La Gallina.” We’d all be running in and out of her house as we chased each other around like crazy. Gramma Cuca would be making homemade tortillas and refried beans and we’d grab a hot fresh tortilla with butter melted on it as we ran outside to play!! We’d eat her tortillas as fast as she could roll them! I just wanted to share these best memories with you Tia and tell you again that I love you so very much. I hope to see you in heaven someday. I worked with Alice at Teledyne for a few years. She was always so sweet to me. We had good times there. We did worked hard, but always got along. We would send each Birthday wishes and Christmas cards, saying thinking of you. God Bless you all. Carmen Perez
