Karen Lynn Obertello Obituary

Karen Obertello, 79, passed away on November 19, 2023 shortly after being diagnosed with lung cancer. Karen and her late husband, Ron Obertello, enjoyed their motor home adventures and spending their winters with friends in Arizona. Karen loved her garden, playing the piano and singing in the choir. She was born and raised in Watsonville and lived her last 35 years in Hollister. She worked for several years at Wells Fargo Bank and then Production Credit Association until she retired. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Myrtle McEntee and husband Ron Obertello. She is survived by her children Toni Ricca of Newbury Park, Kelly Ryan (husband Tim) of Pacific Grove, Tom Sglav of Thousand Oaks and her sister Janet McEntee Heien of Aptos along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. The service will be a private ceremony. We invite donations to your favorite charity in Karen’s honor.
