Obituary of Trinidad Luna Vargas

Trinidad L. Vargas of Jerez Zacatecas Mexico, passed away at her daughter's residence in Castro Valley, California on November 29, 2016 at the age of 90 years. She will be missed by her 5 sons (Victor, Lorenzo, Elias, Rufino, and Reynaldo) and 4 daughters (Socorro, Teresa, Thelma, and Laura (adopted by her older sister). Her 31 grandchildren(Erie, Oscar, Mario, Valente, Esmeralda, Adrian, Victor Jr., Cristina G., Alex, Vicki, Gustavo, Fernando, Cristina B., George, Alexandra, Enrique, Gabby, Jessie, Andy, Nicolas, Sonia, Brain, Alan, Perla Crystal, Ruby, Angie, Angelica, Stefanie, Luis, and Francisco. 14 great-grandchildren ( Erie Jr., Marlin, Selena, Oscar Jr., Diana, Gustavo, Mayra, Vivian, Emily, Valentina, Kasey, Kevin, Derian, Paula, and Ashley. Trini was the daughter of the late Nicolas Vargas and Luisa Luna. Trini was a strong, hardworking, and giving person. She had a strong religious belief in God. Trini was a single parent and raised 8 of her kids on her own. She worked in the cannery and fields from 1968 to 1992 a total of 24 years to support her family. She enjoyed being with her family and enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved going to Mexico every year to the “Novenario of la Virgen of Soledad” in Jerez Zacatecas and to visit her family. Her greatest passion was gardening, which resulted in beautiful plants inside and outside of her home. Family and friends could always count on Trini, her home was always open to everyone. Trini will be missed by all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by all people by all who knew her. Visitation will be at Grunnagle-Ament-Neslon Funeral Home on Sunday, December 4th, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 5th at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
