Many happy and loving memories over the years, Ethan shared every holiday with the Hydie family and the Morgan/Biondini families. Ethan had an incredible gusto for life. He was an avid reader and had many interests from hermetic principles to his Dena'ina Athabaskan culture, to Santa Muerte.
RIP Ethan Sage Hydie! You are so magnificently Loved! You will be sorely missed!

I was so humbled & amazed when Ethan sent me this pic of the tattoo of my face applied on his leg.
I kept lecturing Ethan to NOT tat his face. That it would make gaining employment even harder. I showed up to one of our bi-weekly visits to find my name across his forward!

These poems, Ethan wrote in DJJ. They are very powerful! He was a very deep, insightful & thoughtful human being. He just had no life skills, no discipline. He was overwhelmed. & so needed support from his family!

Sage was my best friend and I wish I could have been there and done more for him. I love him so much and will always remember him. He was supposed to be my best man one day and the godfather of my first kid. He was a great person and very determined. I know he has made mistakes but he learned from them and felt deep regret. I hope the best for his friends and family.

Many people knew you by different names, sage, monster, white girl, white feather, hydie, the list goes on. Only a few OG’s knew you as salty, but i knew you as Ethan. The teenage you i met in high school, definitely weren’t like any other kid in the school. You were so raw, so wild, vibrant, & full of punk rock, you were different. You were Ethan. I will always be grateful for our 2AM walks & talks, our phone calls, everything. I will always be grateful for you! getting to see different sides of you was truly amazing, good or bad. Thank you Ethan for unapologetically being you. I’ll see you in the waves. Chi hullo li forever

Of course, like any young person, Ethan was passionate about music. He actually performed a comedy skit recently in a comedy club in Sacramento. And, he was awesome!
Ethan told me many times how much he connected with the music his mom, Heather liked when he was growing up. Deftones was his favorite band when he was a young teen.

Everyone who ever met Ethan said he was the most loving, loyal friend. And, that he had the biggest heart ever. We were very close & I loved him as much as any grandmother could. He was really trying hard and going to college. Ethan had big plans for a better life. I was so very proud of him and I told him everyday!❤️
