Linda “Mo” B. Righetti (July 20, 1942 - August 29th, 2023) Linda Bernice Righetti passed on peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on the 29th of August 2023 at the age of 81, at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital. Linda was born in San Jose CA to her parents George and Lena Wright. She spent her childhood in Morgan Hill and Avenal CA, before moving to Hollister her Freshman year of High School in 1957. Linda graduated from Hollister High School in 1960. Following graduation she worked as a bank teller in San Juan Buatista at Bank of America and then transferred to the Hollister location. While her kids were attending school shes volunteered at Sacred Heart School as head librarian. Where she was affectionately known as “Howard.” Then years later when her grandkids attended Sacred Heart she again helped in the lunch program with her daughter. All while assisting her husband at the family liquor store business. Linda met her high school sweetheart and the love of her life Alan, riding the bus to school. He tied her down after dating 2.5yrs, proposing to her while heading to bootcamp, in the car, on the corner of 4th and main. Marrying at Sacred Heart Church on August 4th 1963 and remaing happily married for 60yrs. Linda was well loved in the community and enjoyed spending her time volunteering for Sacred Heart School, Babe Ruth Little League, as well as Hollister High School. Many people enjoyed visiting with her at the lotto counter in Righetti liquor’s. She liked spending her time making and swaping puzzles with her best friend Mary, playing games on her cell phone, watching game shows as well as watching The Golden Girls, Fraiser and Reba with “her girls,” and going to the casinos just to play the slots. But, her all time favorite activity, and our best memories of “Mo,” are our family vacations to the happiest place on earth, Disneyland, from 1969 - 2021. One thing you might not know about Mo is she had a wild side. She enjoyed watching Metal Mania every friday night wit her granddaughter and niece resulting in her first rock concert in 2012 at the Warfield SF. Front row, center to see Alice Cooper. In her twilight years, she was nominated as the best playmate to play “gnomes” with her great grandson Lucas. If you were to ask Linda what her happiest moments of life were, if would be spending her time with her family. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
