Obituary of Dale Edward Jamarck
On Monday, August 7th, 2023 Dale Edward Jamarck went to be with our Lord and Savior after a lengthy battle with Dementia and Alzheimers caused by service-related exposure to Agent Orange.
Dale was born in Pacific Grove, California on August 26th,1944 to Frank and Esther Jamarck joining two brothers - Donald and Dennis. Five years later the brothers would be joined by a sister – Donna Jean.
Dale attended the local area schools graduating from Pacific Grove High School in 1963. After graduation, he worked at several different jobs until being hired by the State of California Road Department as a Maintenance Road Worker. During this time, Dale received his draft notification for the Vietnam War in July of 1966 and reported to Fort Lewis, Washington for basic training. Upon completing basic training, Dale was sent to Camp Casey, Korea to the DMZ where he was stationed from December 1966 to December 1967. Dale returned to Fort Ord, California to complete his military service and was Honorably Discharged. Dale was very proud of his military service and making the rank of Sargent.
Dale was a volunteer firefighter for the Pacific Grove Fire Department for 17 years and was an employee with the Monterey Airport Fire Department Crash Unit for 10 years. His commitment to public service was exemplary.
Dale was a man of many talents which included making projects out of wood and training horses. He was an avid golfer making his best round of 76 at the Corral de Tierra Golf Course. Dale was an all-around sportsman who also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to fish with his Dad and would often talk about these special fishing trips in Monterey Bay. Dale was a diehard San Francisco 49er fan and attended their last game at Candlestick Park. Dale had a beautiful soul and a great sense of humor. He also had a love for animals especially for his lap cat, Miss Kitty.
Dale was a cherished and beloved husband. Dale met his wife Sandy Patterson -Jamarck while working as a Marshal and Groundskeeper at the Monterey Pines Golf Course in December 2004 and they married on May 20th, 2017. They would have been together 19 years on December 10th, 2023.
Dale is survived by his three children - David Jamarck (Angela), Colleen Owens, Shannon Jamarck (Paulette) and his two grandchildren - Alyssa and Charles Owens Jr. He is also survived by his two brothers Donald and Dennis Jamarck and sister Donna Jean Cardinale and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dale was a beloved brother-in-law to Sheila Patterson, Mike Patterson and Linda Irby (Rus) and stepfather to Ben Patterson. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Esther Jamarck.
Dale's Celebration of Life will be on August 26th, 2023 at 1PM at the Abundant Life Church.
