We were looking at properties to buy in MT and JR just happened to be on his quad riding through the property we were looking at. Talking to him was so enjoyable that it made our decision to buy that place very easy. From that moment on, JR and Kathy were great friends and cherished neighbors. His artistic talent and practical skills exceeded that of anyone we've ever met. He was a skilled plumber, carpenter, electrician, sheet metal fabricator, furniture maker, draftsman, home builder and heavy equipment operator. JR always stood ready to use those talents to help his friends and neighbors. He happily "took care" of everyone in the community and was revered for it. Over the years, we shared many wonderful trips, dinners and happy hours with Kathy and JR and got to know their kids and grandkids. JR was just as good a dad and "Gramps" as he was a neighbor. We were blessed to know him and will miss him greatly.

What a perfect picture to show the man Jerry was!!!
Always smiling always kind!
My heart broke when I saw of his passing and it broke too for Kathy Kim Todd and Family!!
Jerry was my most favorite boss!! He treated me like family and I have many great memories of Jerry and family!
Andy said it great, all who knew him loved him!
When my husband and I camped at Seacliff I’d always take my daily walks to see if Jerry and Kathy were there too! Few times they were and I truly enjoyed visiting and catching up with them❤️

Jerry was one of the first people I met dating Dennis Holthouse. When I was first married in 1961. He was in the Coast Guard Reserves based in Monterey as was Dennis. They commuted back and forth for their weekends in Monterey for many years. He was a great friend and generous with his time
Jerry met Kathy and it all came together for them and we enjoyed their friendship for 50 years or more. Jerry had that beautiful smile and a kindness about him. He will be greatly missed. God Bless him and hope he is reunited with Dennis! Thoughts and prayers for Kathy, Kim and Todd.

One of San Benito County's finest- a true gentlemen in every sense of the word. Hard working, kind and dedicated Jerry always seem to have a smile on his face and a positive attitude for everyone.
