Augustine Lara Duarte was born on March 24, 1968, in Monterey, California. On June 21, 2023, he passed away suddenly at age 55 doing what he loved, working. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Ruth and Augustine Duarte. He is survived by his children, Johnnie, Prisilla, Shawnte and George. He is also survived by his 13 Grandchildren, Ebony, Augustine, Mason, Cameron, Avery, Kaylee, Nevaeh, Taylor, Deven, Ryder, David, Daniel and Dalicia; as well as his sister, Ruth C. Duarte. Augustine was kind, humble and very sentimental. Growing up, he was very adventurous and feared nothing. He was a boy scout, and loved to ride skateboards, bikes and motorcycles. He was always ready to try something new. His childhood friends called him Junebug. He was a true friend and well known to the community as Augie. Family called him Junior or Titin. He lived in San Juan Bautista till the age of 6, then moved to Hollister in 1974 with his family. In his later years, he spent most of his time at a ranch in San Juan Bautista doing property maintenance. He was a painter and handyman by trade. He was always lending a helping hand. If you needed something done, he knew just how to do it, if not, he figured it out. His favorite hobby was Fishing. He also loved cruising his bike or driving his Blazer while listening to music. A celebration of Life will be planned later.
