George will truly be missed by all who knew him. He not only was a successful and respected man, but a wonderful example to his beautiful family. I will miss seeing him in front of Nob Hill grocery store, sitting in his pick up with his dog, waiting for his wife while she was doing her grocery shopping, and always smiling at everyone that walked by. God has a wonderful new angel in Heaven !!!!

To Lucille and family, my prayers are with you all. Your husband and father was such a very nice and kind person. Mom looked forward for the cherry season as she felt that working for your parents and Martin was something very special to her. I remember the first time that mom mentioned to me that she had asked about me working, not known
to me that mom sought employment for me at the ranch during one of my summer”vacation”. I had no idea of what to expect. I remember mom saying to me that all I needed to know was what I needed be aware of and what to watch for and to do my best. I remember as George and Martin would walk by when we were working or having lunch and have a conversation with us as we had our lunch. At first , I had felt a little intimidated by their stature , not knowing them Later I was able to understand how the were always appreciative of their workers. There were a few times when we would go up to the house to purchase fresh or dried fruit and George had that wonderful smile and would ask how mom was doing. When I think of George , I can see that wonderful smile and twinkle in his eyes as we talked. What a wonderful man George was. He and his wonderful wife always SO caring and the generosity that they showed not only mom but to us . We know the loss of a father . You all are a testimony to you parents. I know that you dad is SO VERY PROUD OF YOU ALL! Our prayers for you all. We know that George will be waiting to greet us all, when it is our time. God bless you all. Mom still recalls you Niki, Julie, Marie and your girls, We love you all!

I have known George, his brother Martin, wife Lucille, and daughter Nicole for about 35 years as their insurance and most of all friend. I wish that I could have known more of his children and grandchildren even though I met them briefly! George and Lucille are such wonderful and welcoming people you could possible know. A plate of Lucille’s cookie’s, maybe a cold beer on a hot day, a box of cherries, or bags of apricots were always there way of saying thank you…..a true old Slavic and Italian cultural gesture. But their warmth and smiles is what I came to love. God bless you George and respect and love to your Lucille and your family.

George was such a kind and calm spirit. But like my father Ben Denice, one of George's Best Friends and Family, he was the hardest working Man I know. He and Lucille raised an amazing family that I am proud to call my cousins. One of my favorite and funniest memories of George is the story of him sleep walking and thinking he was Superman! He tried jumping off their bed and broke is toe. This story was remembered many times throughout our childhood. George you were Truly a Super Hero in my eyes!

Our tie to George is through his daughter Nicole marrying our nephew Tim Hagel. From reading the messages shared by George’s friends it is apparent that he was a wise thoughtful generous man. He was Adventurous too. The family summarized that their DAD was a Gentile Giant~ with laughter & being funny along with a FAITH filled courageous personality.
George was a Farming Guy and we are so very Thankful.
