Ofelia (Felly) Zazueta Kelly, 93, of Hollister CA went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 8, 2023, after a brief illness. Ofelia was born on January 20th, 1930 to Jesus Zazueta and Maria Pineda Zazueta. Ofelia was one of five siblings. She was born and raised in San Juan Bautista and attended San Juan Elementary School and Hollister High School. While living in San Juan Bautista, she met the love of her life John Kelly after his family had moved to San Juan where John's father was the principal of San Juan Elementary School. John and Felly were married for 64 years, until John's passing in 2015. After marrying John, John and Felly lived in many places including Salinas, Fresno, Stockton, Westminster, and Oceanside. She moved back to Hollister in 2018 to be closer to family. Felly and John loved traveling the world and traveled to Italy, Spain, and Ireland amongst other places. Felly also enjoyed square dancing, and shopping, and always loved a good meal. As kids, Aunt Felly was always the one we waited for at Christmas because she always brought the biggest and best presents. Felly was an executive secretary for several companies during her working career. Felly is survived by her nephews Robert Prater and Greg Zazueta of Hollister, Matt and Jeff Zazueta of San Juan Bautista, and Jay (Pam) Avery of Lawrence, KS. She is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews. Felly also leaves behind many great friends who were like family to her. Felly was preceded in death by her husband John Kelly, her parents Jesus and Maria Zazueta her brothers Dave and Andrew (Joe) Zazueta her sisters Alice Hyman and Rosie Kavanaugh. Viewing will be from 9-10 a.m. on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Grunnagle Funeral Home in Hollister, CA. Funeral Services will be held on May 26, 2023, at 10:45 a.m. at Mission San Juan Bautista, CA.
