Life will never be the same without you little sister. You made me laugh all the time. God must have needed an Angel and with you he got the Best. Until I see you again you will be in my heart every day. I love you.

Marcelle, you will be sorely missed. I’ll never forget the times staying the night at your house and you letting Nolan and I play video games until the break of dawn only to tell us that what we were doing was “pure hair”. I’ll never forget laughing until it hurt every time we’d see each other. My strength through your loss is knowing how strong you were and how you could always find a way to make others laugh or break the ice with a well timed crack. I will always carry that with me. Thank you.

Oh Marcelle, it has been so long and I wish I would have reached out a long time ago. I love you. Your sister Tina has always been special to me, and you became special too. Working together was always fun and we laughed a lot. Working with your hubby Jeff was also a joy. To good people who were made for each other. And then you wonderful son Nolan, I first went to your house to meet him when he was a toddler, a beautiful little boy who grew up to be a wonderful man. We talked forever when he was working in San Juan at the pizza place. I loved him immediately. You were funny, smart and fun. You knew your own mind and stuck with it. You loved your family. Your sisters and mom and dad. You were your dads right hand woman. You could ride the tractor and were a great help. I miss you, I can hardly talk about you without crying. You come from good stock. You were the best and I will love you forever.

Marcelle, it's still very difficult to process that the world has lost such a beautiful soul. I'm sorry that I took for granted that I would see you in June when I start visiting work trials in the area. I always looked forward to seeing your smile and having a good laugh catching up over lunch.
I never expressed how much your friendship and comraderie meant to me. Your work ethic was impeccable. Your organization unmatched. You did an incredible amount of successful things, and more importantly, without losing sight of what was important in life. You truly GOT IT! Your devotion to your family, your kindness, and your commitment to what is important in life is something I've always admired. You showed me the importance of keeping your focus on what's important, and ignoring that which kept us from being good people in day to day life.
We had a lot of fun while doing a lot of good work. Those memories and the legacy you leave us with will never disappear. I learned recently that you'd taken up playing the banjo. What I wouldn't do to hear you plucking the strings right now. Thank you for being an amazing human being, a truly wonderful friend, and the best coworker anyone could ask for.
For your family, I offer my deepest condolences. May you find peace and strength as we all learn how to be in this new reality. You were much loved by Marcelle. Nolan and Jeff, you were the sparkle in her eye. I heard many stories of wonderful Pismo camping trips. Of your extended family, so many stories of fun family get togethers. Our thoughts are with all of you.
Until we meet again, my friend, in the big onion field in the sky. I'll listen for a banjo when I'm out there, poking around in the crop.
Much love, my friend.
Jorge

Jorge,
Thank you for the most beautiful tribute to my sister, Marcelle. It makes my heart so happy, that she had such a wonderful friend, as yourself. You described her perfectly, and knew her well. She was our farmer and we were so proud of her. In a family of six girls, it is so hard to accept that our sister #5 is no longer with us.
Speaking for all of us girls, your wonderful words brought us to tears, and at the same time you put a smile on our faces.
