Bill O. Fisher, (87) passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023, in Hollister, California. Bill was born to Charles and Sue Fisher, on September 16, 1935, in Boise, Idaho. Shortly after, the family moved to Salinas, California, where Bill attended grammar school and graduated from Salinas Union High School. Bill met his wife, Lois McCollum dragging Main Street in Salinas, married on New Year's Eve 1955, and recently celebrated their 67th Wedding Anniversary. Bill’s curiosity served in him well. His mechanical ability was top notch; he could build, repair, and troubleshoot cars, machinery, and just about anything put in front of him. He shared this knowledge with anyone who wanted to learn and was a patient teacher. Bill’s favorite projects were with his family. He and his brother Stuart formed My Brothers Racing Team and traveled throughout the west coast, and to championships in Road Atlanta, with several race cars. Bill built and maintained, and Stuart drove fast! Bill spent many years working on foreign cars on the Monterey Peninsula, before moving to Hollister in 1997. After retirement Bill and Lois traveled with their travel trailer, visiting friends and family and made many more friends along the way. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Lois and daughters, Cheri Schmidt (Brooks) and Valerie Tingley (Steve), grandchildren, Shelley Warrick (Bob), Jocelyn Francis (Mark), Allison Schmidt, Tori Tingley-Ryan (Scott), Austin Schmidt (Jessica) and one great-grandchild, Justin Warrick. He is survived by his younger brother, Stuart (Leah), sisters-in-law, Sylvia Fisher, Carolyn Fisher, Sharon White, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Sue, siblings, Iris Hetrick (Harry), Naida Hull (Bob), and Charles Fisher. Private cremation will be followed by private family interment.
