Obituary of Azriel Anthony Avila
Azriel Anthony Avila AKA Nene, Hollywood, passed away on 12/24/2022 at the age of 25, in Gilroy CA.
Azriel Avila was born in Silmar CA to Antonio Avila Lara and Adriana Candiani on July 29,1997. He went to Gilroy High School. He played on the football team all 4 years and was a linebacker. He loved and enjoyed the sport. His dream was to become a professional football player but an accident changed his direction. He graduated in 2016.
Where can I start? Azriel was a life of joy. A person who could make you laugh or smile when you were down. A person who discarded his own problem, but yet would do anything to help you out if he could.
When he lost his older bother at a young age he couldn't live in North Hollywood. He moved to Oregon to live with his uncles Yared Johnson and Adan Calderón.
After about a year in Oregon he decided to move to Gilroy where Abisua and Omar lived. His sister and her husband took him in as there own child.
Azriel Avila was more then just a brother or a brother in law he was our child he had been with us several years. At times we laughed, argued and cried like a family. He was an amazing person big a big heart! My kids were like his brothers. They loved him and always were asking where he was and if he was going to bring pizza home because it was Friday or cook wings. It was his day of being with us and spending time with the kids. It always made me go crazy because there were times where everyone meaning Omar, Azriel, Joseph and Uziel were all in a match playing Xbox and the screaming would be going till 2am! I will miss that. I might not ever be able to say Goodbye I can't. I will see you soon! WE LOVE YOU! I MISS YOU! I walk downstairs and leave the lock open expecting you to walk in.
Most of his friends knew him as "Hollywood". A person who came from North Hollywood. He started a new life in Gilroy. and met a lot of great people. I am sure he touched a lot of people in their heart and treated everyone with respect and kindness. He wouldn't talk much but once you got to know him you knew he was a great person. He loved his family his parents, brother sister Aunt and cousins. He always looked out for them.
Let us think about the great times we spent together. May those great memories always be in your hearts! The life we spend on this earth is not always long. Treasure the life you spend with no regrets. Call your family and friends and tell them how much you love them.
May he rest in peace with his brother Abimeal and find peace.
Now a few minutes of silence for a prayer. May God receive him and bless him!
