John Lewis Hushbeck, Jr. April 25, 1933 – September 16, 2022 Mr. John Lewis Hushbeck, Jr. was born in Watsonville, California on April 25, 1933. He and his family moved to the family ranch on Shore Road in Hollister when he was 4 years old. He graduated from San Benito Joint Union High School in 1950. He served in the Army and returned to Hollister after his service ended. He married Jo-Ann Norton in 1957. They were married 65 years on August 31 st . Mr. Hushbeck worked as a mechanic for Bill Yamano Farms and as a truck driver for McAbee Trucking and Dolo Chem. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a Raiders fan. He is survived by his wife Jo-Ann, his brother Tom (Mardell), his three sons Scott (Sherryl), Randy (Kim) and Bruce (Nancy), five grandchildren Brandon Hushbeck, Justin Hushbeck, Mathew Hushbeck, Christina (Joe) Hennessee and Kasey (Chris Cox) Hushbeck and three great grandchildren Aedan Cox and Eleanor Rose and Benjamin Hennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Mildred Hushbeck and two sisters June (Elvin) Graham and Marge (Bill) King. A private ceremony will be held at the Pioneer Cemetery in Watsonville, CA. In lieu of flowers and gifts the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association.
