Obituary of Marion James Feist

Marion James Feist passed away peacefully on August 24, 2022, at his home in Hollister, California, and was surrounded by his son Greg Dean Feist and his grandsons Brandon and Christian Feist. Marion was born June 20, 1933, in Manchester Oklahoma, to Frank and Catherine Koehler Feist. Marion was the eldest of nine children; Joseph Clarence (Deceased), Beatrice Mary (Deceased), Melvin Frank (Deceased), Leroy Herman (Living), Larry Raymond (Deceased) Anna Marie (Living), Gary Dee (Living), and Vonda Lee (Living). Marion moved to California in the mid 1950s and served in the military, worked in construction, and owned George’s Body Shop until 1994. Marion’s nicknames were Skinny and Jim. On April 12, 1958, Marion married Mollie Wynn. He is survived by Rodney Arnold (deceased 1996), Gregory Dean (Living), Daughter in law Andrea (Living), Greg’s kids, Brandon Gregory (Living), Amanda Irene (Living), Christian Alexander (Living), Danny Joseph (Living), Lori Lynn, Lori’s kids, Jessica Brea, Great-grandson Jack, Jonathan Michael, Great-granddaughter Eleanor, Jacob Hunter, Brooke Grace. Then, unfortunately, divorced in 1980. Marion soon remarried Linda Jane Thistle on May 18th, 1986, and unfortunately was widowed on December 9, 2015. Marion James enjoyed hunting, rodeos, tractor auctions, and farming with his brothers in Oklahoma and attended the Elks lodge in Hollister and breakfast with his buddies every morning after his wife Linda passed in 2015. Marion loved his wife Linda, kids, grandkids, and two great-grandchildren.
