Alan Edward Righetti passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by his loved ones, after a short illness on August 1st, 2022 at the age of 79, at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital. Alan was born in Hollister, CA to his parents Emilio and Josephine Righetti. He spent the first part of his life on his family's ranch. Alan graduated from San Benito High School in 1960. He served his country for 6 years in the US National Guard, where he worked as a chef, where his passion for cooking was sparked. For the larger part of his life, he and his brother owned the well-known Righetti Liquors for 50 years. He enjoyed many things throughout his life which included working out and fishing with friends, barbecuing for family, gardening, riding his Harley Davidson, and attending a casino every so often. Alan loved his family very much and is survived by his wife, Linda Righetti (4 days shy) of 59 years. His brother Robert Righetti (Mary Righetti), his children David Righetti (Lynne Righetti), Janet Jacquez (David Jacquez), his niece Anne Nixon (Walter Nixon) his grandchildren Holly Hoffman (James Hoffman), Heather Sanchez (Greg Sanchez), Bailey Casillas, great-grandchildren Bianca Ruiz, Constance Ruiz, Aiden Ruiz, and Lucas Sanchez. To honor Alan's wishes there will be no funeral services. He will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetary in Hollister, alongside his father, mother, uncles, grandparents, and daughter (Theresa Darlene). To celebrate his life a donation to his favorite charity, Saint Jude’s Children's Hospital would be greatly cherished. Alan was extremely hardworking, witty, and kind. He loved to poke fun and play pranks. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly by all who got the pleasure of knowing him. “We love you, Papa”
