Obituary of Rosaline Mary Perreira

Please share a memory of Rosaline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
May 5, 1931-Aug 1, 2022 Rosaline (Rose) Perreira went to be with the Lord at her home in Gilroy California on August 1, 2022. She passed after a short illness at the age of 91. Rose was born in San Juan Bautista and spent her childhood years on her family's ranch. She loved attending dances in San Juan Bautista and participated in the Portuguese festas. She attended San Benito High School and graduated in 1949. Her career began at several different small businesses in Hollister before spending 32 years with Bank of America. She enjoyed her time at the bank and had a real knack for numbers however, her passion was talking with many of her regular local customers. Rose retired at age 55, then took her motorhome on the road to follow her grandchildren on all of their sports adventures. You could always find her cheering them on at their games. If she wasn't rooting for her grandchildren, she would be rooting for the San Francisco Giants. She loved to crochet and play a good game of Pedro. She loved her family and is survived by her sister Jane Silva, her son Gary Perreira (Chris Tibbs Perreira), her granddaughter Ashley Perreira Ramirez (Michael Ramirez), her granddaughter Crystal Perreira, her two great grandchildren Rilynn and Emberlee Ramirez, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Angeline and Antonio Garcia DaRoza and her brother Anthony DaRoza (Marie Lomanto DaRoza), as well as her brother-in-law Frank A. Silva. Funeral services will be held at Grunnagle Funeral Home on Tuesday Aug. 9, 2022. Viewing will be held from 9am to 11am with services beginning at 11am. The burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery 1100 Hillcrest Road. The family will hold a reception at Paine's Restaurant from 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. afterward and would like to invite you to come share a meal. She will be missed by many and her family appreciates your support and prayers at this time.
