Obituary of Victor Noel Mata Jr.

Victor Mata passed away unexpectedly on June 6th 2022 in Hollister, California at the age of 55. Victor was born in Weslaco, Texas on July 6, 1966. He was 1 of 5 siblings. At the age of 2 he and his family moved here to Hollister. Victor attended Sacred Heart School and San Benito High where he graduated in 1984. He played baseball and football throughout his school years. He was also an altar boy for Sacred Heart Parish Church, in Boy Scouts, and a paper boy. Victor had a love for food and always had a passion for the kitchen. He worked at Casa De Fruita where he ran the burger shop and worked at Paine’s restaurant. Shortly after he became a forklift driver for 10 years. He was also volunteer at “My Father’s House” in Hollister. He was survived by his mother Taide Mata; his daughter Lisa Mata; his grandson Logan and his granddaughter Alina. Victor was always making everyone laugh he had a heart of gold and loved to see others happy. If you knew him you knew he was always walking all over town he enjoyed the outdoors. He will forever be missed and always in our heart. Per his wishes - services will be private
