Mrs. Teshima always had a great big smile on her with a thunderous laugh. She introduced Japanese culture to our little school- Olympia School. I always will remember her and her husband- as we grew up on Lucy Brown Lane in the San Juan Valley. RIP Mrs. T.

I met Nana when I was 16. She was an amazing beautiful woman who had a huge impact on my life. She had a fierce love for her children and grandchildren. I remember going to pick up Marques from her home and her bedroom door was kicked in. He was two and had locked himself in. He was crying and she kicked the door in to get to him. “Fierce love”. I could fill a book with fun and happy memories. I just want to say “Thank you Nana for teaching me to cook teriyaki steak, to appreciate different foods, for all the beautiful clothes you made me over the years, for all the fun we had on trips. And most importantly, thank you for always being there for us and loving my kids. What amazing memories they will always hold close to their hearts of the “Best Nana Ever”. Love Tami

i am so sorry to hear of jacie's passing. we only shared her great energy for a short time but my entire family remembers her. it seems only yesterday that she and i and our suffering husbands sat on those benches outside northside conv. hosp. they were pretty dismal days for all of us but her friendship and irrepressible spirit dispelled some of the gloom. your family was blessed to have her for many years, we were blessed to know her (and you linda) for a short time. rest in peace jackie.

Mrs. Teshima was always so kind, caring. Funny, and warm to be around. I met her through Linda and loved the time spent with their family. She always told me great stories and shared memories of her children childhood with me when I’d see her in town. She was the best seamstress I knew and I strive to be as talented as she was some day.
