Obituary of Sandra Jean Knoll

Sandra Jean Knoll, known as Sandy, passed away on February 10th, 2022. Sandy was born on November 21st, 1939, in Fort Worth, Texas to Trephenia and Joe Jones. She had an older sister, JoAnn, two younger sisters, Barbara and Wanda, and her brother Rex. Still living is her favorite Aunt Goldie ,who is 96, living in Ballenger, Texas. She met her lifelong partner Kenneth Robert Knoll ,in L.A, and were married for 49 years. Together they built a beautiful life and family, including their children Lisa (Courtney) Knutson, Jimmy (Susie) Knoll, Brian Knoll, and Julie Knoll. Her greatest blessings were her grandchildren Shane Matas, Josh (Makenzi) Knoll, Jack (Kelsey) Knoll, and her two great grandchildren, Hazel Elizabeth Knoll and Lucy Rose Knoll. Sandy was preceded in death by her husband Kenny her parents Trephenia and Joe Jones. Sandy and Kenny spent most of their life in San Juan Bautista, California. Sandy worked for many years in the banking industry as an Office Manager. She was involved in her children’s community activities, including 4-H, FFA, and church programs. Upon Kenny’s retirement in law enforcement, they moved to Northern California to fulfill a dream of being full time ranchers. Sandy had a strong faith in God. Over the last several years Sandy has been a member of Christ Fellowship of Hollister in addition she loved Dr. David Jerimiah. Additionally, she supported his ministries. It was a great comfort to watch his sermons every Sunday. Sandy was an avid quilter and many of us are graced to have her beautiful art. She loved many things in life especially, Elvis Presley music and Tom Selleck movies. She also loved to bake and one of her famous recipes passed down from a beloved friend, Grandma Rose, was her toffee. She invited many friends and family into her home, often and teaching how to make the delicious toffee. A private service will be held on Thursday February 24th at the San Juan Bautista Cemetery followed by a reception at St Francis Retreat at noon, where all are welcome to come remember and celebrate Sandy.
