Obituary of Clifford Karl Sayko

Please share a memory of Clifford to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Clifford Sayko passed away on February 9th, 2022. Clifford was born on July 13, 1953 in Salzburg, Austria to John and Paula Sayko. Clifford was raised in Germany until the age of 10 when the family moved to the United States. In 2005, Cliff met the love of his life, Claudette and they married in 2008 during a motorcycle ride to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. From that point on, Cliff and Claudette spent their free time together and could be found on their Harley’s, traveling any and everywhere. When not riding his Harley, Cliff could be found at work where he excelled as a machinist making anything that anybody needed or ever wanted. But he always made time to play tennis. He was a proud member of the Ridgemark, Hollister and Gilroy Tennis Clubs. He also cared deeply for animals and his love for them was endless. In 2019, Cliff purchased his dream Harley Trike and in 2021, he and Claudette traveled to New York and back in only 11 days; checking off his #1 bucket list item. Clifford is survived by his wife Claudette; his sister Sonya Thomas of San Jose; his niece Jennifer and nephew Chad and their families; his coworkers; and his many, many tennis friends and especially his beloved cat, Sally. Cliff was preceded in death by his parents John and Paula Sayko and his brother-in-law Jimmy Thomas. Cliff will always be remembered for his hardy laugh, his constant smile and his ability to put a smile on everyone’s face. His family finds comfort knowing he was “styling and smiling” on his beloved Harley Trike when he left us. A celebration of Cliff’s life will be announced at a time and date to be announced.
