Obituary of Ernest M. Estrada

Ernest M. Estrada (Neto) Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and Brother, passed on January 24, 2022 at the age of 84. Born in Los Angeles, California on April 13, 1937 to Felipe and Maria Soledad Estrada, who proceed him in death. Beloved husband of 62 years to Margaret V. Estrada, father to Ernie Estrada (Ruth), Elizabeth Padilla (Stephen), and Robert Estrada (Doreen). Grandfather to Ernie Estrada III, Eric Estrada, Stephen Padilla Jr., Anthony Padilla, Selena Estrada, and Dominic Estrada. Great-Grandfather to Roman and Remi Padilla and Mila and Esai Estrada. Siblings: Stella Hassinger, Gloria Porter, Eva Monson, Elisa Lugo, Ruben Alfred, Carlos and Louie Estrada. Neto, as friends and family would refer to him, had a great time fishing, camping, and taking long country drives. He was an avid Rams and Dodgers fan. His other pastimes that he enjoyed, were watching boxing and taking trips to enjoy the Ocean view. He also had a great love for animals. Neto served in the National Guards in his early years. He worked for General Motors for 7 years, along with other jobs throughout the years. His final job before retiring was working as a Heavy Equipment Operator for 20 plus years. He is proceeded in death by his brothers Joe Henry and Gilbert (Beto) Estrada; Niece Terry Estrada; Nephews Jerry Estrada, Charile Estrada, Joey Estrada, and Robert Valenzuela. A Memorial Service will be held at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home on Thursday, February 10th at 12:00 noon. Followed by military honors provided by VFW Post 9242.
