Obituary of Clara Castillo Parra

Clara Castillo Parra, beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend passed away on December 29, 2021, following a short illness and will be missed by all of those who loved her. She was born on August 11, 1950, in Mexicali and later moved to Hollister in the 70's where she met and married the love of her life Javier Lucero Parra. Together they formed a long and happy life. Her greatest strength was patience while showing her love caring for her family which she displayed daily for her children Armando, Esteban, Cassandra and her grandson Lil Javi as well as her pets Alvin and Lola. Some of her passions were dancing, cooking, gardening and her great love of music, (CCR, The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Juan Gabriel) were at the top of the list, she also enjoyed bingo and Reno trips. Throughout her professional career she held different jobs, working in the San Benito Cannery and for the Hollister School District as an instructional assistant for many years. She loved students so much and would care for them as if they were her own. The students loved her as well and they would paint pictures for her. Years later those pictures are still on display at her home. She is predeceased by her mother Julia Castillo and her husband Javier Lucero Parra. She is survived by her children Armando Garica, (Deana - daughter-in-law), Esteban (son), Cassandra (daughter) and her grandchildren, Liliana, Anthony, Luke, Nicholas, and Javier Alexander and her sisters, Julieta, Georgia and Linda. Matthew 5:4 God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Nació el 11 de agosto de 1950 en Mexicali y más tarde se fue a Hollister CA, donde conoció y se casó con el amor de su vida Javier Lucero Parra. Juntos formaron una vida muy feliz. Su mayor fortaleza fue la paciencia mientras demostraba su amor por el cuidado de su familia, que mostraba a diario de sus hijos Armando, Esteban, Cassandra y su nieto Lil Javi, así como de sus mascotas Alvin y Lola. Algunas de sus pasiones eran bailar, cocinar, la jardinería y su gran amor por la música, (CCR, The Beatles, Rolling Stones y Juan Gabriel) estaban en la parte superior de la lista, también disfrutaba de los juegos de bingo y viajes a Reno. A lo largo de su carrera profesional ocupó diferentes empleos, trabajando en la Fábrica de Conservas de San Benito y para el Distrito Escolar de Hollister como asistente de instrucción durante muchos años. Amaba tanto a los estudiantes y los cuidaba como si fueran suyos. Los estudiantes también la amaban y pintaban retratos para ella. Años después, esas fotos todavía están en exhibición en su casa. Pre Fallecieron su madre Julia Castillo y su esposo Javier Lucero Parra. Le sobreviven sus hijos Armando Garica, (Deana - nuera), Esteban (hijo), Cassandra (hija) y sus nietos, Liliana, Anthony, Luke, Nicholas y Javier Alexander y sus hermanas Julieta, Georgia y Linda.
