Petronilo Tovera Franco Jr of Hollister, California passed away Sunday December 12, 2021 at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital. The viewing will be held on December 21, 2021 from 2PM to 6PM at Grunnagle Ament Memorial Home and funeral will be held at 11AM on Wednesday December 22, 2021 at St. Benedicts Church, Hollister, California. Petronilo, as fondly called Junior (Jr.), was born March 30, 1939 in Batac City, Ilocos Norte Philippines. He graduated from Batac Rural Highschool in 1955 and graduated from the University of the Philippines, Los Banos** earning his Bachelors of Arts in Agriculture in 1959. He married his first and last love, Victoria Luzod in 1960. He started working at the bureau of agricultural extension in 1961 until he was promoted to cooperative office and that paved the way to send him to further his studies at Loughborough University in London, England. He then became the head of office as the provincial agriculturist in the province of Ilocos Norte. In 1990, he relocated to Hollister where he lived with his family for 31 years. During his time here he worked at Teledyne McCormick Selph while also driving his grandchildren to school. He was preceded in death by his wife Victoria Luzod Franco and his sister and brothers Shirley, Winifred, Caesar, and Arthur. He is a proud grandfather of Jed, Farah, Danielle, JenJen, Danika, and Jordan. Further survived by brother, Edward, and his children Pevirose,Rovinilo,Gian and Connie. Pete Jr ,will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving father, lover of plants and gardening, soft spoken, a writer, humorist, and a friend to everyone.
