Obituary of Michael James Whitehead

Mike was born on November 17, 1967 in San Jose, California and "graduated" on November 6, 2021 in Hollister, California, at age 53. Mike was predeceased by his mother, Grace Ann (Beal) and cousin Rachael Landrey and niece Joyce Whitehead. He is survived by his father, James B. Whitehead, stepmother, Susan J Whitehead, sister Janelle (Doug) Prince, brothers William (Diane) B. Whitehead, Daniel M. (Shanel) Whitehead and Alan (Nina) J. Whitehead and 19 beloved nieces and nephews. Mike loved his family and connected with them often. Mike loved basketball and started the "Whitehead Dynasty" in Milpitas High School basketball which ran 13 consecutive years with his three younger brothers. Mike served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1987 and 1988. Mike graduated from Brigham Young University in 1994 with a BA in Zoology/Pre-Med. Mike worked for several companies over the years. He is truly missed by family and friends. A family reunion will be held for Mike in early 2022 to celebrate Mike's life and remember all the great stories about Mike.
